HOT GUNS' LUNCH A SUCCESS

Hot Guns.jpgDSCN0774.jpgDSCN0775.jpgDSCN0777.jpgDSCN0778.jpgDSCN0779.jpgDSCN0781.jpgHere are some of the photo's from today's Hot Guns' lunch at the SnakePit in St Kilda. By all accounts, it was quite a success and they plan on doing it again. Thanks to the SnakePit for their hospitality and the (small) tab. Oh, and Brendon Guthrie from Grey for coming along as a 'mentor'.

Connor Beaver does not endorse this event in any way.

Dawson, Birchall, Woogie and Pat

It's on like Donkey Kong!

Typical self promotion by that guy...

Dawson your Art Direction skills are coming along really nicely, that logo is bangin!

Can anyone come to Hot Guns?

Anonymous said:

Listen to the old guard, trying to bring the next breed down. Whatever guys, your time has passed.

I'll go down for a burger. Why not.

Who is "Connor Beaver" and who are "the Hot Guns" anyway?

I used to head down St Kilda way and do pretty good at The George, which is next door to the Snake Pit. Not sure I ever got me any of that Conner Beaver though. What's that?

Great heads up on this one guys - as I eat my Don Dons whilst doing my daily Campaign Brief check.

The Snake Pit? It's been called the George Pub Bar now for at least a decade! Young guns/hot guns would never have heard of the Snake Pit!

All 8 of the people in these photos are from Grey.
Great success.

Is the old guy in shorts (2nd pic) a HOT GUN?

Anonymous said:

Why is the girl wearing sunglasses inside? Maybe it's a paparazzi flash protection tactic.

some nice beaver there.

Hot Guns rulz!

I’m new to the industry and was thrilled to attend the inaugural Hot Guns lunch, it was inspiring to be around so many passionate young creatives. I learnt more hearing Connor Beaver’s speech than I did in the four year advertising course I did.

Bring on the Hot Guns awards!

He's the HOTTEST gun. You should see his digital book. it utilises technology that hasn't been invented yet.

Anonymous said:

What's with the chick wearing the sunglasses inside? That really irks me.

Anonymous said:

Have you guys ever heard of 'Young Guns'?

This is retarded.

Anonymous said:

The guns were so hott you had to wear sunglasses inside. Otherwise your retinas would be damaged irreparably. It's something they're looking into for the next Hot Guns lunch.

Lol. This looks like a load of fakery to me. Eight people and an old bloke at the bar... the next breed my arse!!!

Anonymous said:

I don't think Hot Guns is legitimate, I think a few smartarses are taking the piss!

Anonymous said:

I too enjoyed Connor Beaver's rousing speech.
Regrettably, later in the afternoon I made the fatal error of looking Mr Beaver directly in the eye. Suffice to say, he doesn't like that.

Nice work Mr Beaver.

Hey, isn't that guy in the leather jacket/hood combination in a pop/rock band or something? Looks like he should be.

And the bearded bloke. Surely he was the bloke who punched Mark Zanotti in the throat in the 1986 WAFL Grand Final.

Dear 9.10am

It obviously wasn't that moving a speech, and you obviously really didin't get that much out of listening to a Beaver moan, because if you had you would have been proud enough to stick your moniker on the end of your comment.

Cheers

Next Hot Guns lunch... I'm in.

Rumor is the Hot Guns award show is on the horizon. They say the prizes are pretty lame, just a signed topless photo of Shane Dawson, but the entry fees are apparently ridiculously expensive!

It sounds radcore!

If Subha's in I'm in fa shiz
