LAUNCHPAD LINKS WITH MIAMI AD SCHOOL
DDB Sydney has partnered with Miami Ad School, which will allow two U.S. students to join the Sydney agency's LaunchPad programme this year. DDB's LaunchPad, started by then national ECD Garry Horner in 2001 and co-ordinated by FBI Recruitment, has helped to launch the careers of many young creatives over the last decade, including Guy Rooke, now deputy CD at Clemenger BBDO Sydney.

Onya Gazza. Yet one of many brilliant idea's still lingering.
Six years an the guys a deputy CD? He's too young.
Further links with Miami Ad School are needed in Australian advertising... the names of graduates of Miami Ad School, especially Miami Ad School Europe, are popping up across all award shows. If anyone has ever seen the work from the European campus, it's leaps ahead of any work from Australian institutions. It's high time Australia takes a bigger piece of the Miami Ad School action.... It's an open opportunity that more agencies should take advantage of.... go DDB.
JWT have been doing this a while as well... maybe that was Jay & Andy, not sure.
Shouldn't it be the other way around, aussie juniors going overseas? How is this useful to junior creatives here? Way to go DDB however.
JWT had their first batch through way back in '06 and have hired some on full-time.
Over here, underpaid, and coming for your job.
Watch out Aussies, here come the Yanks.
I thought Matt started Launchpad, nice one Garry.
Who cares.
I care,i'm trying to break in to advertising and schemes like Launchpad might give me a foot in the door.
