CHECK OUT THE NEW LOOK BESTADS SITE

Picture 120.pngThe new look Bestads site has been created for Campaign Brief by the team at Rivet, Sydney.
Says Rivet Executive Producer, Richard de Nys: "Best Ads is an iconic industry site that has become a daily ritual for those in the ad world - we're proud to have had the opportunity to improve the user's experience with a refreshed design and usability enhancements. The rankings functionality on the site has been given a serious upgrade, with the intention to encourage friendly competition between agencies, clients, creatives - in fact everybody involved with the work. That's pretty exciting, because it's not just an annual ranking, but has the potential to literally change by the week. Bestads is all about the great work that's being done worldwide, and the changes to the site will provide a better experience for everybody. We hope you agree!"

The team who made it all happen are:
Mark Ashley-Wilson - Head of Interactive
Richard de Nys - Executive Producer
Daniel Winter - Programmer
Han Lee – Designer

Nice work and about time. Almost as good as the inspiration room's re-fit.

Nice to see it. Much better than the beige tones you had mate.

looks much better. nice and simple.

just one point, looking at the best new print and outdoor, I can't help notice as cannes arrives we start to see the appearance of all the ads for museums, anti-smoking, non-profit organizations etc.

I don't want to suggest these are scam ads, because that would be unfair.

But maybe it could be an idea to do two separate sections on bestads - one for commercial brands and the other for more charity, pro-bono type stuff.

It just seems to take the punch out of the work when most things are for clients like surfrider or the cu chi tunnels.

Hey 9.16pm, are you suggesting an actual section titled 'more charity, pro-bono type stuff'? Yeah, I can see that working. Or how about just having a whole tab called 'scam / proactive-type ads that the client didn't really need, but let the agency do at their own expense anyway'. I'm sure the creatives will have no problem ticking that box when submitting work. Great idea mate.

...just got an ad for surf-rider approved 2:50?

Is it possible to differenciate the articles a little more like CB.
They seem to blend together a bit.
Bold HL or Coloured bar?
Looks fantastic otherwise.

New site looks good.
Just a thought re rankings though, the ad which is chosen as the best of the week should be given more than just one point. Otherwise what is the point of choosing a winner each week if they just get the same points as the other 5?

I think the ad's now be up long enough.
Let's move on.

I think a section called "more charity, pro-bono type stuff' would be brilliant!

hopefully it would save us from the award-hungry twats who work for shit agencies that never produce anything of significance other than scam work.
