DON'T MISS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY AWARD SCHOOL GRADUATION THIS WEDNESDAY

Picture 185.pngDon't forget News Limited and AWARD are hosting the 25th Anniversary and graduation party for AWARD School 2008 this coming Wednesday, July 16th @ 6pm at The Loft, King Street Wharf, Sydney.
Entry is free to students, lecturers and top CDs. For others who wish to attend one of the biggest industry events of the year, a limited number of tickets can be purchased by contacting Hannah Morden at AWARD.
Tickets are $28 including GST for members and past students, and $45 inc GST for non-AWARD members and industry guests. All food and drinks will be included.
Says Ray Black, founder of AWARD School: “Congratulations to all those past AWARD School students who gained from it the knowledge and confidence to go on and become some of our most talented art directors, writers and creative directors. Some graduates are now international creative stars [Dave Droga, Craig Davis, Leo Premutico]. For 25 years AWARD School has given those who felt the calling the chance to get on that first rung of the creative ladder. Its results should give encouragement to those who are thinking of taking that first step. AWARD School would not have survived for 25 years without the dedication, commitment and belief in the idea by all those senior creatives who continue to freely give so much of their time and talent as tutors. Many of them are AWARD School graduates. Let’s also not forget the successive AWARD committees who quietly labored late into the night to help make it happen."

This Wednesday, July 16th @ 6pm
The Loft, King Street Wharf, Sydney.

Went to the graduation tonight, didn't come first, but did ok, however its got to be a combination of talent and passion that's made the best students come out on top. You don't get handed stuff for doing well. Seeing what past students have done is a real inspiration knowing they came from the same place as you. Droga won it in the 80's and has achieved everything you could hope for, now with his own business..Leo won it in the 90's,now with his own shop after an incredible career of about 10 years...Carasco only won it a few years ago and has her own shop after amazing run. I don't believe these people got to have their own business just because they did well at award school, I think they got there because theyre as determined as talented...they all proved themselves at different agencies with different partners or alone, winning lots of awards over the years. People might do well on the night but the real competition begins when school is out and now we have to prove ourselves for real.time and consistency are the only tests that count in the end, good luck to all.
