PALACE CREATES SUMMER TO A TEE

Picture 10.pngThe Campaign Palace, Sydney wanted to create a piece dedicated to the summers you have when you're young. When you're free and spontaneous. They worked with @radical.media director Chris Riggert, to get something filmic and natural. There's high and low points in the piece, which makes it credible and authentic.

I really like this ad... good work.

How many ads are Bonds doing. Love to have their budget!

All those Bonds new ads are fantastic. Simple and creative slices of pop life that don't try too hard and don't have any obscure references or in-jokes or comedy sketch rip-offs or imaginary worlds. Excellent stuff. Look and learn.

Just a suggestion, but if 'haters' are being made to identify themselves on the blog, then maybe the staunch supporters (i.e agency responsible) should be forced to own up too. The first three comments above are away too saccharine to be off -the-cuff.

Censorship? Positive comments only. C'mon this ain't Campaign Brief China.

you can't hate this one. which is a good job, because no one would be able to hear you.

You can still make nasty comments. You just have to own up to them.

Nice piece of film Chris, it looks beautiful Riggbone (from a directors point)

4:53 Bonds and budget should not be used in the same sentence. They trade of good will. Lovely spot.

This doesn't even look like an ad, which I love.
Wish I had done it and no, I don't work at the Palace. I don't even work in Sydney.

9:18 prove it

What a brilliant idea. I love this ad. It's very rare to see half naked models running around on crack, so this is real breath of fresh air.

Cheers to whoever wrote it.

It just doesn't feel authentic at all to me. For example, all those kids would have been born in the late 80s and even early 90s. There's no way they'd own that car. They'd be driving mum's five series.

Did people really have cliché summers like that? I think not.

To me this is the same adland freedom imagery you see in tampon ads, and just as
unbelievable.

Nicely shot. Pretty pictures. Dreamy soundtrack. Not groundbreaking though. It doesn't make me wish I'd done it.

5:25 it's an ad not a documentary.

thinking Shaun knows a lot about tampon ads.

it's beautiful riggert. i'd love it on my reel.

Enjoyed this ad immensely, and you pick up new things everytime you watch, but do the car shots all have to look like a steal-o-matic from Wolf Creek? Kinda makes the thing creepy.

Not bad. Everytime I hear the song on the radio now I think of Bonds (mission accomplished), but there are a couple of shots in there that nearly made me think it was a depression awareness or domestic violence ad. I just kept expecting one of them to OD at the end.
