Set to merge: Sputnik at the edge of Reality
Global parent KITdigital inc. (a NASDAQ listed IPTV and digital video solutions provider) recently acquired the remaining shares of Reality Group, a Melbourne based Direct Marketing agency.
The combined agency will provide true integrated brand and marketing communications capabilities with a strong digital offering, differentiated in the market place by the added IPTV, video and video content delivery capability.
Stuart Sheridan, General Manager and Head of Account Management at
Sputnik Agency, part of a new management team brought in to re-organise
the digital agency, has during 2009 restructured the businesses
operations which has lead to many operational and project profitability
improvements. This has resulted in Sputnik posting solid Q1 and Q2
financial results.
Sputnik Agency, as a result of the improvements and new management team, has achieved numerous new client wins this year such as Sanitarium, Juniper Networks, GEMoney and GMHBA as well as recent project based work for Johnson & Johnson, GSK and George Western Foods brand DONs.
Reality Group has recently won back the Spirit of Tasmania account, which it once held a few years ago.
Sheridan, who is married to Fiona Sheridan, the Brand and Innovations Manager at National Foods (pictured together) has made the decision to move on from Sputnik Agency, citing family reasons with the imminent arrival of their first child.
Sheridan told CB: "I've loved my time in Melbourne at Spuntik Agency. The entire management team, staff and culture of that agency are second to none. I'm delighted to be able to take my leave from the agency after steering it operationally into the successful financial business that it is today. I look forward to seeing Sputnik Agency on the winners circle of the upcoming digital and integrated awards in late 2009/2010."

Go Stu - you rock mate. Best boss I ever had. Hope your new bub has a top life with you and Fi in Sydney.
Good work! You can only go up from here!!
If Sputnik's own Web site is anything to go by, they really don't understand interactive at all.
Yeah Ashley, you're so damn right. They just been on business for more than 10 years, worked with really great brands, managed to successfully remain open, profitable and sell the company to the yanks for a small fortune and win a heap of awards in the process. With this merger they are about to triple their size and triplicate their capabilities. Those Sputnik guys are clearly hacks that don't understand interactive at all. God, why do they bother?
It's a great site dunno what you're looking at
who?
Have to agree Ashley. Average site
Well done. I hadn't visited the site before. Love it. Great personalising, humour, ease and uniqueness.
I agree Jason, I think it's Mark who doesn't understand interactive at all!
congratulations fi and stu on the birth of your daughter.
