Yamaha Motor Europe appoints Aussie owned Twofish as international lead agency

Twofish mgt, Russ Pinney and Andrew Boag.jpgYamaha Motor Europe (YME), Europe's largest producer of motorised products, has appointed Aussie-owned, Amsterdam-based Twofish as its lead creative agency for pan-European marketing after a three-way pitch.

As YME's lead agency, Twofish will drive pan-European campaigns and content for all YME product categories, including motorcycles, scooters, snowmobiles, marine and all-terrain vehicles. Responsibilities range from strategy to production activities, with initial projects including a brand overhaul - currently being implemented at campaign and web level.
"Yamaha makes a huge range of products, but is united by one thing: a sense of exhilaration," said Aussie expat Russ Pinney, Twofish's managing director. "Our goal is to convey that raw excitement, across all YME communications."

Established by Australian management in 2003, Twofish is a boutique, full-service agency with clients including Canon Europe and Tommy Hilfiger. The agency is currently defying the economic crisis with a period of exceptional growth.

Pinney studied Marketing at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. After recording and touring internationally for ten years with his Australian band, he settled in Amsterdam to found Twofish in 2003.

Director Andrew Boag is a former Head of Public Relations for Canon Europe (2000-2006). He held the position of board member at World Press Photo from 2004 to 2007 and was awarded Best European PR Event 2006 by The Chartered Institute of Public Relations UK for his work on EOS Safari. Andrew's specialties include pan-European campaign development, message strategy and branding.
