Tongue lashes out on hiring Annik Skelton

Annik-Skelton.jpgSydney-based writer Annik Skelton has joined the expanding team at start-up ideas agency, Tongue. Skelton will put her creative skills to use and will work on all types of marketing communications across a variety of campaigns for key clients.

Says Jonathan Pease, executive ideas director for Tongue: "We're extremely excited to have Annik on board. She brings a unique voice to Tongue's creative team, and we're confident our clients will benefit from her fresh perspective."

Skelton cut her teeth at the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Australia as Manager of Industry Services, and also was highly involved with the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association.

As well as making her mark in the blogosphere, Skelton is a well-known Twitter personality, notorious for her tongue-in-cheek commentary and unique methods of story-telling.

"I love entertaining people," says Skelton. "I'm thrilled to be joining Tongue and look forward to contributing to and learning from the team."

Skelton's appointment is one of several following Tongue's launch in September this year.

Tongue you're not up to your old tricks of talking up your own stuff in the comments section are you?

"all types of marketing communications across a variety of campaigns for key clients"

It's just this kind of literary acuity that makes reading PR releases so rewarding.

I wanna like them but their website is so unusable I cant find out why they exist. If they actually do 'digital' then why is the site so poor from a usability perspective? The entire site is flash and no sub pages have unique urls... VERY POOR EFFORT from an agency saying they do 'digital'. Build my website? Not in a million years. Tragic!
