Award-winning art director David Joubert transfers to GPY&R Sydney from Patts Brisbane
Award winning art director David Joubert (left) has transferred the Sydney office of George Patterson Y&R following an 18-month stint as joint CD at the agency’s Brisbane shop.
Joubert joined Patts from South African creative powerhouse TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris in July 2008, following stints with Leo Burnett in Asia working across McDonald’s, Tiger Beer, IBM and Standard Bank.
In Brisbane, Joubert and joint CD Piet Human, won awards at Brisbane Art Directors’, ADMA, the AMI, Outdoor Advertising Association and nabbed a One Show finalist, significantly lifting the creative profile of the agency and its new business track record.
Julian Watt, ecd at Patts Sydney, and also a South African expat, said he was thrilled to welcome Joubert to the growing team: “He’s experienced, talented and a true media neutral thinker – a powerful addition to our line-up.”
