Hey... how come I'm not on the list?

I am on the list

How come Colman Rasic isn't?

Why, if you were asked to name people who work in creative fields, would you list anyone who worked in - or had anything to do with - advertising?

Anonymous said:

What a load of shite. How could you get a chubby over this?

5:37 i think both glue society and three drunk monkeys have done some pretty great non advertising work, art, television etc its good to see both have been included as they are doing great things for the industry

Rebecca's make-up artist should have made the list.

Good list and nice that someone from our field is part of it. It's also good that we have people on there who are pushing creativity in advertising for Sydney, I agree, I love the stuff Glue and Monkeys have been doing outside of just ads, the sculptures are really good. God knows Sydney needs more of this sort of thing. Like Minded and Mathematics also really good shops. This is all about exciting newish places right?

...and so it begins.

"Unveiling today, the official list of 100 fabulous creative businesses and practitioners who inspire 10 creative leaders from Creative Sydney's 10x10 Project."

I love and respect Bec, so this is no reflection on her: for an event that celebrates creativity, Creative Sydney's 10 x 10 Project is nothing more than a Sunday newspaper supplement style list of 'things I like' that gets posted online. That's it. Nothing more comes out of it. Personally I think it's extremely disappointing that this is the sum total of the 10 x 10 project.

With such highly creative people asked to contribute a list of other highly creative entities, it seems a waste of creativity in a forum that's meant to celebrate creativity.

They were asked to choose top 'emerging' Sydney-based creative business or practitioners and encouraged to select from within their field where possible. The final winners receive federally-funded business development programs. The earlier 10x10 press said this but it isn't mentioned on the final list.

Man.... I wanted to be successful in this field but after all the shithouse comments on here about anyone who's successful I'd rather eat indonesian coffee beans and poop them out for a living. After all, with all these great successful people getting their ring pulled out by the great anonymous, who'd want to let you get your jollys popping them down. Seems like a Pat&Steve job.

Olives friend Pop is awesome

@ 5:37 - I'd love to know where you work? Keep the post anon, but just gives us an agency name. I double dare you.
