Google’s Temsamani to leave Australia to take up global role in mobile sales at Mountain View HQ

Karim.pngGoogle Australia and New Zealand managing director Karim Temsamani is leaving his role from October 1, promoted to lead Global Mobile Sales in Mountain View, where he’ll lead the development of Google’s global mobile ads strategy and build Google’s fast-growing mobile business.

Over the past three years, Temsamani has grown Google’s search and display advertising business in Australia, built relationships with agency partners, grown the company’s YouTube operations and established major partnerships to provide great content and services for local users. Under his leadership, the Google team downunder has grown to 400 employees. Google hopes to announce Karim’s replacement soon.

Says Temsamani: “The past three years working with the Google Australiaand New Zealand team have been extraordinary and I’m excited to take ona new challenge at Google. There’s no doubt that the future of theInternet is mobile and I look forward to playing a greater part in thisfast growing and exciting business.
