Telstra dramas continue as Chantel Walker walks; Microsoft’s Inese Kingsmill comes on board

Chantal-web.jpgInes-web.jpgChantal Walker (far left), Telstra’s Director of Brands, Advertising and Digital, has quit the telco, and Inese Kingsmill (as Director of Business Unit Marketing & Communications) will be joining.

Kingsmill (left) will be joining Telstra from Microsoft where she is Director of Strategy, Marketing and Programs. She has enjoyed a long career with Microsoft having initially joined the company in August, 1994 as Customer Loyalty and Direct Marketing Manager and then having held a variety of Australian and regional roles within the Marketing Organisation. Ms Kingsmill has also worked in advertising and direct marketing agencies and the PC industry.

Ms Walker joined Telstra early 2005 working initially in BigPond beforejoining Telstra’s Marketing Communications Group in 2008 as Director ofBrands Advertising and Digital.

With her passion for achievingresults, Chantal has managed and led highly complex and often sensitiveprojects, and always done so with a pragmatism that has delivered someoutstanding outcomes.

Walker’s resignation comes a month after Amanda Johnston-Pell (left, photographed by CB in Cannes three years ago), former executive director of brands andmarketing communications at Telstra, who is currently on maternityleave, decided not to return to the telco in December, asoriginally planned.
