TV Winner: Logitech Harmony Revue: Ivan Cobenk. It's never easy to do "funny smart", let alone do it in a commercial. But this spot nails it. Due in large part to the acting chops of one Ivan Cobenk. That finger-cross move in the end kills me. Nice subtlety. It was the one spot I called someone in my office to show.
TV Runner-Up: LG Kompressor Elite 'Something's Lurking'. Unlike the winner, this spot employs no acting whatsoever, yet it still tells a captivating story. I'll be honest, it could my new position of fatherhood that made me a sucker for this spot, but what can I say, it plays to the target.

Print Winner: SKY Movies 'ET'. OK, so I'll admit. This feels like an ad specifically crafted for recognition on a site like this. Like a one-off you'd see in someone's book. Or a really good student ad. But nevertheless, it made me chuckle. It made me feel nostalgic. And it made me stop for 5 seconds and remember how awesome movies are. Winner, winner chicken dinner.
Print Runner-Up: League Against Cancer 'Castaways'. This isn't the typical approach you'd expect for a client with "cancer" in their name. I like that. And on pure, technical execution alone, it's magnificent. "C'mon, Steve. You just like it because old people are funny." If that's what you're thinking, well, let's just move on, shall we?

Screen shot 2010-12-09 at 10.53.49 AM.jpgBEST OUTDOOR
Outdoor Winner: Cadbury 'Billboards to Bags'. This is one of those ideas that is so great, it really doesn't matter that it has nothing to do with the product. Which I kind of hate, but the idea is so charming, and the fact that they pulled it off, so impressive, it had to be my favorite. It's steeped in positivity and goodwill. Which, well, it had to do with the Goodwill Games. So that was probably expected. But still, it was smart. Not at all schmaltzy. And totally feel-good. A rarity in most advertising.
Outdoor Runner-Up: Transisto Amigo 'Car Carrier Truck'. You always have to do something special if you want some creative recognition for doing non-profit work. And while the message here isn't anything completely revolutionary, the build and commitment to the idea is impressive. And at the end of the day, I have no doubt this piece is immortalized on tons of cell phone cameras.

Screen shot 2010-12-09 at 10.54.08 AM.jpgBEST INTERACTIVE
Interactive Winner: Mini Countryman 'World Record'. It's great to see things that have never been done before. And I like to think of "interactive" as the category where people should constantly be redefining what's possible. Here's an example of something that nobody ever thought to do, or probably even thought was possible, until now. And now having seen it, it'll have an influence, small but true, on how I think about interactive digital pieces in the future. Bravo.
Interactive Runner-Up: Levi's 'Sound Wash'. Unlike the winner, this one here is just a web site. Just an awesome site. Just a fun-to-experience, might-share-with-a-friend, totally-playful, fitting-for-the-product, tailored-to-the-audience, kick-ass site. Me likey.
