Luscious director Owen Trevor wins Rushes Soho Shorts Festival Award with ‘Two Laps’

 soho win.jpgLuscious director Owen Trevor’s short film “Two Laps” has won the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival (RSSF) International Award. 

The film is a story of two friends, Val and Pete, who have been swimming together every morning for the past 17 years. Once a year they have a race: two laps, up and back.

The RSSF competitive selection was chosen from over 1200 entries from 53 countries. 148 films produced across 27 countries were selected to compete at this year’s Festival.

“Two Laps”, written and directed by Owen Trevor was featured in Shots and had its world premiere to great acclaim at the SxSW Film Festival in Austin Texis.  It has also been screened as part of the official shorts selection at the recent Sydney Film Festival.
