Sound Alliance adds key staff - to move to former MySpace Surry Hills premises in November
Commercial director Ben Shepherd (left) has taken on an expanded role assuming commercial responsibility for both the media and agency divisions.
Karen Chapple has joined Sound Alliance Media in the newly created role
of agency sales director reporting into Ben Shepherd. With a wealth of
experience in digital media, Chapple is previously from Komli Media
where she was national sales director and prior to that was head of
Bigpond sales for Sensis.
The media team has been bolstered further with the addition of Jason Spiller as business development manager in direct sales, joining from Street Press Australia. Several account exec roles have also been filled taking the media sales team to 14 staff.
Following recent new business wins, the expansion also extends to the Sound Alliance Agency with new appointments having been made in its account service teams. Joining as production manager from Ooh Media is Michael Brunner and James Vincini has joined the team as senior account manager from Draft FCB.
Says Neil Ackland, managing director of Sound Alliance: "We are investing in our team at a time of unprecedented growth. Display revenues are up around 45% year on year and we are expanding our audience footprint with new sites joining our network all the time, with some significant announcements to follow."
The expanded Sound Alliance team will also be relocating to a new home in November. The company is moving into the former Myspace office in Surry Hills. Says Ackland: "We have outgrown our current premises so it's exciting to begin a new chapter in a bigger space that we have refitted to be uniquely our own, and with room to grow."
