Whybin\TBWA Sydney joint ECDs Dave Bowman and Matty Burton to speak at Caxton Seminar
The Caxton Committee today announced the three final speakers who will address delegates at the Caxton Seminar and Awards 2011 later this month.
Multi-awarded Whybin\TBWA\Tequila, Sydney joint executive creative directors Dave Bowman and Matty Burton (left) and Neil Breen (below left), editor of Australia’s highest-selling newspaper, The Sunday Telegraph, complete the line-up of speakers for this year’s event.
Bowman and Burton have worked together for over a decade and half at some of the world’s most renowned creative agencies. Along the way they have produced work that is as varied as their clients’ businesses.
They have a black pencil at D&AD, a Grand Prix at Cannes and a Grand Clio – all of which were won in different categories for different pieces of work – in addition to a swag of Cannes Lions and other awards.
But interestingly, their first award was a Caxton.
“We’re very excited that Neil, Matty and Dave have agreed to speak at the Caxtons,” Caxton Committee chairman Rob Belgiovane said. “Newspaper journalists and advertising creatives all aspire to be great story-tellers, and we’re thrilled to have story-tellers of their stature addressing delegates at this year’s seminar.”
The three join a stellar line-up of speakers at this year’s Caxtons, including international keynote speaker Jon Kamen, founder of @radical.media, and Young & Rubicam global chairman Hamish McLennan.
The 2011 Caxton Seminar and Awards will be held from October 27-29. Delegates will convene at the stunning Chateau Elan, a new luxury 5-star resort located on The Vintage golf course.

I wonder what they’re going to talk about? It will be interesting to hear what their take is on print advertising – but I suspect they’ll show me their reel first. Oh boy, I just can’t wait.
When did you boys go getting so hot.
