Jacob’s Creek ‘Open Up’ with Andre Agassi in series of short films created by CumminsRoss
CumminsRoss, Melbourne has launched the first in a series of branded films for Jacob’s Creek featuring newly-signed global ambassador Andre Agassi in the lead-up to the Australian Open, of which Jacob’s Creek is a sponsor.
Titled ‘The Open Film Series’, the black & white films are starting to appear on Jacob Creek’s Facebook page and will also be broadcast on free to air TV.
The series was written by CumminsRoss principals Sean Cummins and Jason Ross and directed by the agency’s creative director Steve Callen.
In the first film, Agassi recounts the off-court experience after playing Bagdahtis at the US Open. It’s a story of reflection, understanding and compassion.

You have to ‘like’ it before you see it, but how do you know if you’re going to ‘like’ it without seeing it?
If you want to see it without ‘liking’ the page, click here

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Should have been Normie Rowe singing True Charactor and actually how “open” is it if you have to Like it to see it ..tacky way to manipulate numbers.
Nice use of Andre. Better than those Kia ads.
Well played TSW.
Nice work Steve (as always)
Not bad guys – sort of like Iconoclasts for Grey Goose.
I think this will work for the Open. Nice one CR
TSW – solid.
Er, what happened to Euro?
@ Puzzled – this did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4BlCD5ni7U
It is horrible – couldn’t Jacob’s Creek pick someone better. It is an aged tennis star and admitted meth user getting all maudlin over the past being self serving and pitiful and you suspect most of it is exaggerated anyway.
Should have used Jimmy Conners reflecting on comments made about Johanna Griggs after throwing down a few Jacob’s Creek reds in the VIP lounge!
Margaret your a horrible person at least Andre achieved something in his life, you just need to get one.
These are fantastic. A refreshing and welcome interruption from the hubbub of the tennis coverage. In fact I enjoy watching them more than the tennis.
Jimmy Connors would not like to be confused with Jim Courier
These are really fabulous and should be released as a DVD
You Have Got To Be Kidding Me. All respect for Andre Agassi, no question. Please forgive me, but I have never come across such a perfect illustration of “pretentious”, “ridiculously earnest ” and “inauthentic”. If there were a thesaurus entry that listed all these terms, it would also include the term “Open Up”. “It’s s a story of reflection, understanding and compassion”. Uh huh. Except it was hardly written out of an artistic or natural expression of creativity, like a good short film. Get over yourselves, people! Go back to writing and shooting ads, for goodness sake.
Tracy’s right – Margaret should get a life
Hey Wild Eyed,
I’m glad someone here has the sense to see through the colossal facade that this film series puts on. I have nothing against biopics, however, this series is as far from reality as one can get. What atrocious, saccharine writing. “Open up” – What an extremely liberal play on words, and apart from that, no connection to alcohol whatsoever.
Considering this film series focuses on Andre’s character and life story, the fact that he agreed to do it is an unfortunate stain on his integrity, but then, the series is not really about him, but more about selling jacobs creek to the masses. Ugh…
PS – this is even worse than the terrible Samsung Note 3 commercial that plays without fail in every ad break.
