Val Morgan announces the launch of Australian Creative Excellence Showcase (ACES) awards

aces2.jpgVal Morgan has today announced the launch of the ACES, the Australian Creative Excellence Showcase.

The awards have been specially set up to recognise and celebrate the best of Australian Cinema and TV advertising and the work that goes into it.

Val Morgan CEO Damian Keogh praised the high level of creative talent within Australia.

Says Keogh: “As far as creativity goes, there is no doubt Australia is up there with the world’s best and the purpose of the ACES is to support and celebrate creative excellence in our own backyard. We are committed to ensuring that the ACES play a major role in recognizing the brands, the creative agencies and the individuals who deliver outstanding locally produced creative.”

Keogh also added that cinema offered the ultimate platform in which to hold the ACES Awards: “Cinema is and has always been the ultimate brand showcase, providing an unrivalled creative platform. For over 100 years Val Morgan has been proud to place the best of Australian advertising in the most powerful environment – on the big screen in Cinemas – where viewers are totally immersed and engaged with the advertising content.”

The ACES are open to Australian produced commercials that have appeared on Cinema or TV.

The ACES will be held 3 times a year, judged by a panel of distinguished industry experts under the guidance of a jury chairman.

The winning commercial will be awarded the prestigious Golden Ace and a Cinema media schedule to the value of $25,000.

The ACES are free to enter and open to all locally produced creative that has appeared on either Cinema or TV in Australia in recent months.

The inaugural ACES awards will take place in Sydney on the 21st of March 2012 at Gold Class, Event Cinema George Street.

The closing date for entries is 14th March 2012.Subsequent ACES will then be held in June and September 2012.
