The awards – known as The Rockies – are an internationally-recognised awards programme celebrating the very best in international content production in television and digital media.

The only Australian programme to receive a nomination in its category, ‘My Sri Lanka’ follows acclaimed Sydney chef, Peter Kuruvita, as he journeys through the land of his childhood exploring the culture and cuisine of the island nation.

Says Henry Motteram, executive producer at The Precinct Studios: “It’s a great honour for everyone involved in the show, which was filmed with the assistance of Sri Lankan tea brand Dilmah. Successful TV production requires a rare alchemy and I’m really proud that the team has received international recognition for their work”.

The Precinct Studios has produced a follow-up series titled “Island Feast with Peter Kuruvita” which is due to air May 17th on SBS. In this series, Peter travels from the north of the Philippines through Indonesia and Vanuatu before reaching the beautiful Cook Islands.
