The Works, Sydney boosts strategy offering with new hires Laura Watson and Courtney Beck

TWS-Strategy-team1.jpgThe Works has boosted its planning team with the new hires of Laura Watson, Account Planner, and Courtney Beck, Buzz Planner. Laura and Courtney join Jon Holloway, The Works recently promoted Head of Strategy, and Daniel Baldock – Junior Planner.

Says Holloway: “The advertising world has to evolve and we want to be driving that evolution in every piece of work we put out. Here at The Works we are developing an approach to allow us to create ideas at velocity, with a no bullshit approach to planning and strategy. This means we are looking for the right kind of mind that understands and can drive our ‘no-line’ attitude to communication, Laura and Courtney are outstanding hires in this arena.”

On the back of new business wins for The Works and solid organic growth from existing clients, Watson and Beck’s experience across multiple channels and disciplines will strengthen the unique model at the agency.

Watson, formerly a Senior Strategy Planner at PLAY Communications, has worked with such clients as Optus, Tourism Victoria, Charles Darwin University, Nivea and World Movies.

Beck joins The Works from BCM, where she has worked across many different industries both client and agency side. She is an engagement planner, digital strategist and community manager. In her spare time Courtney writes a dating blog read in 77 countries called ‘Reasons to date Courtney Beck’ and also writes for Lost at E Minor.
