Lucy Jester, (pictured far left) has been recruited as the consultancy’s new finance manager.

West brings with him 11 years’ experience in design and advertising. In a career that has taken him as far afield as San Francisco, he has worked for a wide variety of national and international companies.

Most recently, West worked for Moon Communications Group with some of Australia’s biggest retail brands including Westfield, Jeanswest and BP Australia. He has been involved in projects across a variety of sectors including property (Mirvac), information technology (HTC) and media (NineMSN). He has also spent time client side consulting on the global rebranding of the iconic Australian skincare company, Jurlique.

Luke Van Oudtshoorn, (pictured above, centre), most recently working as a freelancer at FutureBrand’s Melbourne head office, joins the team on a permanent basis. Bringing with him over 13 years’ experience in a range of marketing and creative roles, Van Oudstshoorn is a passionate advocate of brand strategy and the recipient of a number of awards relating to his work in brand design, communications and data analysis.

West said: “It’s a really exciting time to be joining FutureBrand Australia. The company has a reputation for being involved on very influential projects and I’m looking forward to joining a team that already boasts some of the most talented creative people Australia has to offer.”

Says Erminio Putignano, managing director of FutureBrand Australia: “We are expanding more and more from brand strategy and identity into communications. Versatile talent like James and Luke will play an important role in bridging different areas of expertise in the most seamless and exciting way. James arrives at FutureBrand with an extremely impressive CV that has seen him work on some of the best brands in North America and Australasia, while Luke already has an inherent knowledge of our business having already worked on a host of successful projects with us including Hayman Island, Crown and our Country Brand Index. Both will be a real asset for us.”

Van Outstshoorn and West will work alongside recent recruits Luis Corderque and Tanya Sulewski, who both joined the firm last month.
