Drawing on Kendall and Brown's extensive, wide ranging and international experience, their Master Class will identify the ingredients needed to define great strategy, touching on the intangible skills of transferring intangible data.

Kendall and Brown have over 10,000 hours of experience between them, having worked across small and global brands, brand planning and engagement planning, and having experience with anything from factory visits to creative briefings and from IPA Effectiveness papers to hard media negotiations.

Communications Council CEO Margaret Zabel sees this as a coup for the industry, with sessions being held in Sydney and Melbourne.

Says Zabel: "This is a great opportunity to learn from two of the best in our business. Nick and Kevin have an enviable track record across brands and markets; they have made an important contribution to the changing face of the profession and pushed the scope of marketing communications."

KevinBrown.jpgBrown (pictured left) joined BBH as group media manager in 1990, becoming media director and board member in 1995. He was the founding partner of BBH's media arm Motive and then became strategic development director of Starcom Motive. In 2000 he formed the new ad agency, Soul, which was later acquired by the Asian independent agency Nitro. Brown then rejoined BBH to launch a new discipline called Engagement Planning - putting channel thinking up-front in the development of brand ideas.

Kendall joined BBH in December 1986 to work on Levi's and later on Whitbread (Boddingtons, Murphy's) and Häagen Dazs. In the early 80s he was appointed to the board of BBH, and became first head of department at BBH, then group planning director in September in the 90s, a role in which he was responsible for the planning product and departments of BBH across the globe. As well as working on global brands such as Johnnie Walker and Dirt is Good Kendall now acts as group strategy director helping define and refine BBH's future.

This Master Class is part of the Communications Council Circus program, bringing the industry together to explore and celebrate great commercial creativity.

The speakers from day 1 and day 2 of Circus are available on DVD available for purchase here.
