Curious Film to screen 7 films at Melbourne International Film Festival - starts August 2nd

WarWitch.jpgCurious Film has announced it has seven films screening at this year's Melbourne International Film Festival, which kicks off on August 2nd, 2012.

Errors of the Human Body.jpgThe films include: the Australian premier of War Witch (by director Kym Kguyen); Being Venice (Miro Bilbrough); Errors of the Human Body, (Eron Sheenan), Policeman (Nadav Lapid); and, Step Up to the Plate (Paul Lacoste). Short films screening by Curious directors include Tammy Davis's Sonny My Older Brother and Night Shift by Zia Mandviwalla.

Says Peter Grasse, Curious executive producer: "It is a great achievement for our Curious directors to be screening at this year's Melbourne International Film Festival. We also look forward to the audience's reaction to those films we've selected for distribution. Its exciting!"

This news follows a string of film focused achievements for Curious including the selection of director Mandviwalla's short film Night Shift to compete for the prestigious Palme D'or at Cannes (the second consecutive Curious film to be selected to compete at the festival), along with Davis' Ebony Society named winner of 2012 Best Film at Bondi Flicker Fest.
