Kirsten Darbyshire and Anita Deutsch join the account service team at GPY&R Melbourne

Anita&Kirsten, GPY&R.jpgGeorge Patterson Y&R Melbourne has made two new senior hires, with Kirsten Darbyshire and Anita Deutsch joining the account service team.

Previously at Clemenger Melbourne, Darbyshire joins George Patterson Y&R as senior account director on the Defence Force Recruitment account. Darbyshire most recently led the Bupa Australia account, which included management of the award winning Australian launch of the brand. Other major clients have included Sensis, SCA, Dulux, Pacific Brands, Mercedes-Benz, Australia Post, NAB and Honda.
Deutsch's experience is both vast and broad, thanks to a career that has spanned both client and agency side roles, and across numerous industry sectors. Her 10 years agency experience has been gained in both direct marketing and integrated agency roles including Clemenger Proximity and BBDO working brands including Mazda, RACV, TRUenergy, The Age, ANZ, AXA & GE Capital Finance. Her agency experience is complemented with over 5 years in client roles including roles at Telstra and Jetstar. Deutsch will be the senior account director across a number of Federal government clients.

Steve Doherty, group managing director of Y&R Brands said the new appointments were a significant boost to the agency's offering.

Says Doherty: "Kirsten and Anita are both highly respected individuals, in fact Kirsten was Clemenger's 2011 'Employee of the Year'. Their experience across award winning, multi-platform campaigns will ensure that we can continue to deliver the best to our clients" said Steve.

Both appointments are effectively immediately.

How can you justify making three talented suits redundant, then hire two more?
