Target is promoting its range of stylish and affordable shoes in a new campaign via new agency Big Red, Melbourne, which won the business from (since defunct) The Campaign Palace back in March.
The two newest spots end with the line: Good things are happening at Target.
And since March they have changed the positioning several times, clutching at straws to try to prove they can do better than the Palace did, yet latest figures show sales are down down. It seems maybe Palace wasn't really the problem behind flagging sales and profits, and Big Red may not be the global retail saviour that West Farmers seem to think they are. Perhaps we are at a new Dawn, where retail pain is just the status quo?

Good things may be happening at Target but their advertising is not happening.
I am not quite sure what is worse, the pics or the soundtrack.
Colour and movement, a horrid VO and a shite library track doesn't make engaging communication.
You need to work harder and so do your very average suppliers.

If you had to guess the IQ of Americans vs Australians based on their respective Target ads...
