Royal Melbourne Show launches Facebook presence via social media marketing team Peazie

royal melbs.jpgSocial media marketing start-up, Peazie this month joined forces with the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) and Wrights PR, to create, manage and measure the Royal Melbourne Show's Facebook presence for its 40,000+ community.

Achieving incredible results within the first month of appointment, Peazie's integration of professional competition engines on the Royal Melbourne Show's page resulted in more than 400 likes in 24 minutes and 1,800 entries in the first 72 hours.

Fusing technology and marketing in Facebook with products, Peazie's general manager, Jayson Hornibrook, said the company was delighted to partner with clients such as the RASV to connect brands with consumers.
Says Hornibrook: "Peazie understands the social media landscape and is committed to instilling confidence in brands to connect through Facebook, dedicated to solving problems and helping organisations belong on Facebook. We love working with innovative and exciting brands and believes the partnership with the RASV is a long and successful one."

Says Brad Jenkins, general manager of marketing & business development at the RASV: "Social media is a major component of our marketing and PR strategy for the Royal Melbourne Show and we are thrilled with the initial success of the 2012 campaign in conjunction with external agencies, Peazie and Wrights PR.

"The addition of Peazie to our suite of professional suppliers has been essential in growing our engagement with our strong and active Facebook community for the Royal Melbourne Show, Victoria's largest annual community event."

Growing with the rise of Facebook and the need to connect brands with consumers, tech and marketing experts, Hornibrook and co-founder Markie Bryant, developed Peazie in 2011. The RASV joins Peazie's impressive list of clients including some of Australia's leading brands, such as L'Oreal, Bollé, Oakley, Warner Bros and Collette Dinnigan.

Peazie has tripled its growth month-on-month since launching and has grown Facebook engagement for its client's pages by an average of 40 to 60 per cent. The company started out with two employees and now has 14.
