Produced by Werner Film Productions, the series of 13 x 24′ episodes follows Tara Webster (Xenia Goodwin) and her friends as they complete their final year at The Academy to learn which of them will be offered a contract at The Company and who will have to find a new dream.

Returning for the series are: Xenia Goodwin (Tara Webster), Jordan Rodrigues (Christian Reed), Alicia Banit (Kat Karamakov), Dena Kaplin (Abigail Armstrong), Thomas Lacey (Ben Tickle), Isabel Durant (Grace Whitney), Keiynan Lonsdale (Ollie Lloyd) and Tara Morice (Miss Raine).

I am delighted that a third series will result in a total of 65 episodes of Dance Academyfor the enjoyment of ABC3 audiences in the future.”

Says Joanna Werner, producer and co-creator: “We are so delighted to be going into production on the third series of Dance Academy. The scripts are really strong with so much going on for all of our characters, and we are working with some of the best choreographers in Australia to ensure there are even more fabulous dance routines in this series.”

With the phenomenal success of both series, Dance Academy has been sold to over 180 territories including recent sales to the Teen Nick network in the USA and Nickelodeon in the UK. The series has also been sold to Germany, France, Italy, Spain and throughout Europe, South America, Africa and Asia.
