annick perrin.jpgInitiative Australia CEO Andrew Livingston has announced the appointment of Annick Perrin as managing director of Initiative Sydney. Perrin will leave her current job at Ikon Sydney after seven years in her managing director role.

Says Livingston: “Annick was the standout candidate to lead Initiative Sydney. Her career achievements and ambitions for the future totally connect with the challenges and opportunities for our clients, as well as the plans and goals we have for Initiative. One of her greatest skills is that she totally engages with people within the agency and with clients, a practice that will impact our culture in a most positive way.”

Perrin has 23 years of media experience. Most currently she has led Ikon Sydney’s media skills, finance and people development and has built a strong track record in winning new business and building close relationships with her clients, agency teams and media owners. Over her career, Perrin has led media work across major marketers including Coca-Cola, Nestle, Boots, Johnson & Johnson, Hyundai, Aussie Home Loans and MasterCard.

Says Perrin: “Having discussed the strategy and plans for Initiative with Andrew Livingston and Mediabrands management, the agency has clearly started an exciting new stage and I am very keen to contribute my skills to those plans. My time at Ikon and in the media industry have been wonderful and now I am looking forward to helping Initiative accelerate its performance.”

Mediabrands executive chairman Henry Tajer said Perrin’s arrival at Initiative was a major development.

Says Tajer: “Annick’s management style and the success she has created in her career are quite infectious. She will make a big impact on Initiative’s strategy for the future.”

As well as Perrin’s arrival on October 29, Livingston also announced the completion of the Initiative national management team with the appointment of John Clements as finance director for Initiative Australia, part of IPG Mediabrands. Clements joins the agency on October 18 and has been CFO at Mindshare Australia.

In addition to Perrin and Clements, other Initiative national team leaders include Andrew Mudgway and Chris O’Keefe, managing directors of Initiative Melbourne and Perth respectively and Rob Pyne, chief strategy officer.
