Australian rich media mobile ad impressions on InMobi network up 453% in first 8 months of 2012

home-banner-img1.jpgInMobi, the world's largest independent mobile advertising network, today announced it had experienced over 453% growth in rich media ad impressions in Australia in the first eight months of 2012.
 
InMobi has run over 300 rich media campaigns in Australia and NZ in collaboration with media agencies including StarCom, OMD, Carat & MediaCom, experiencing a 453% increase in rich media ad impressions on its HTML5 ad authoring platform, Sprout. The growth of mobile and tablet devices combined with an increase in consumers' mobile media consumption has undoubtedly contributed.
Says Francisco Cordero, general manager and regional director, Australia & NZ: "We have seen a fantastic response to our mobile rich media offering in this region, which is allowing brands to engage with their consumers through the mobile channel. The combination of HTML5 rich media together with the ability to reach consumers when they are most responsive to advertising, while they are waiting for something or in the evenings, is resulting in a superior experience for consumers and greater advertising effectiveness compared to traditional online campaigns."

The announcement coincides with the rebrand of the Sprout platform to InMobi Studio. Since acquiring Sprout in August 2011, InMobi has evolved the platform in line with increased customer adoption with ad innovation, engagement reporting and analytics.

InMobi Studio empowers designers to create award-winning rich media ads without coding or technical limitations in an intuitive visual design interface, with features that include gamification, gesturing, animation, mobile video and location-based ads. Nokia Lumia, a campaign created on the InMobi Studio platform, recently won two awards at the 2012 Mobile Awards for Best Multi-Channel Integrated Marketing Campaign and Best Use of Mobile Media in Advertising.
