Come Home Droga: Melbourne students want New York based Dave Droga to speak at their uni to inspire the next generation of daydreamers
It seems a couple of very keen students from a Melbourne college have created a rather comprehensive campaign just to get the attention of New York based Aussie expat David Droga, the biggest creative name in world advertising.It's called Come Home Droga.
Here is their cause in an adshel: They want their message heard by the one man the whole world listens to - David Droga.
Why? They want him to speak at their University to inspire the next generation of daydreamers.
VIEW THE CONCEPT
Droga5 launched The Great Schlep to encourage the Jewish electorate in Florida to vote for Obama. Schlep is a pretty great word; it means "a difficult journey". So they did a schlep of their own to Droga's hometown, Thredbo.
CB could not contact Droga at time of writing but he always checks the blog so it will be interesting if they get a response.
Great to see the effort these students are going to just to see Droga.
If he comes to RMIT I want to make sure I'm invited!

II once showed him my work in an Oportos after an AWARD school lecture. He was pretty nice about it. Gave me some good advice.
Hope you guys are putting this much time and effort in your portfolio too - you'll be a force to be reckoned with when you graduate if you are!

Good to see a little hustle back into a younger generation. If this doesn't get Droga's attention, not sure what will. Should also help them all get interviews at other agencies here. Good luck getting him. I would pay to listen.

Wow, this is a seriously good effort, and nicely crafted. If only all grad had this schpunkta and drive my job would be easier. I don't know them, and this isn't a troll. Just stoked to see some kids with passion and skillz (see what i did there... Iused a "z" to make it DWTK)
It seems Melbourne also has better ad students.
