Cutting Edge announces finalists for 'Make Me Appy' comp - winner announced Friday, Sept 28

Make Me Appy.jpgCutting Edge have announced the finalists for its 'Make Me Appy' competition as a prelude to the winner's announcement this Friday, the 28th of September.

The winner will receive $20,000 of free App development and design services by Cutting Edge Digital.

Over 250 entries were submitted from the creative industries, with 19 finalists selected for their innovative ideas. The highest number of submissions came from the advertising industry at 41%, followed by design at 30%, production at 16%, followed by marketing. No genre was untouched - entries ranged from games to business applications, to augmented reality ideas and innovative navigational systems.
Nic Harman, marketing director of Cutting Edge said Dave Bullard, Mac World editor-in-chief, had a tough time whittling down the applicants.

Says Harman: "Looking at the sheer quality and diversity of submissions, I think choosing a winner isn't an enviable task. Australia has some incredibly creative, insightful and forward thinking people and Cutting Edge is thrilled to support the development of one of their app ideas."
