Jessie Jordan_130.jpgLibra (a key brand of SCA Hygiene Australasia) has appointed the “we get women” marketing specialists Hello I’m Venus to handle the digital and social work following a recent competitive pitch.

The win follows the hiring of Jessie Jordan (left) as creative director several months back, who contributed to the successful pitch.

The first phase in the partnership is a freshly curated Facebook strategy which launched Friday 21st September in conjunction with an online ‘Buns or Muffins’ promotion to tie in with Libra’s current above-the-line-advertising work, with ongoing initiatives to follow.

Says Thérèse Winterburn, head of marketing personal care: “We were looking to shake things up in our digital arena and wanted an agency that understood the Libra girl and how she interacts in this channel and were very impressed with the way Hello I’m Venus just got it!! It’s great to see a fresh approach for both our brand and the category in social media, and we are sure that our consumers will agree.”

LIBRA_BUNS_MUFFINS.jpgSays Bec Brideson, Venus director: “We’re thrilled to have Libra as a client. They’ve been a dream client for us: the market leader and an iconic brand with a history of breaking new ground. We look forward to helping them further their great brand story.”

The Libra win caps off a busy period for Hello I’m Venus, in the social and digital space, with more new business wins to be announced shortly.

Says Brideson: “It’s the perfect time to be a specialist in the female marketing space” according to Brideson. The social media migration has largely been a female revolution. When all of the tech hype is stripped away it is really about effective, intimate and human conversations with your audience. Facebook is a channel that can’t be ignored by brands wanting to truly share their

brand with women.”

Hello I’m Venus recently appointed creative director Jessie Jordan. With a 10 year history spanning multinational agencies in Sydney, Jordan was wooed to Melbourne’s Hello I’m Venus agency.

Says Jordan: “Advertising disciplines are rapidly changing. I’ve joined an agency with a real point of difference. They understand the role of digital, social and traditional advertising. More importantly they know how to connect with women in this space.”

Says Miles Mainwaring, director of Hello I’m Venus: “Jessie represents the future of our agency. She’s a clever, dynamic thinker who gets modern marketing challenges.”
