Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards offers People's Choice Award - voting closes Mon, November 5

Dion-Lee,-Anna-Plunkett,-Luke-Sales,-Lewis-Pullen_152.jpgThe Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards (SOYA), the leading award for Australia's best emerging artists, designers, and creatives, is giving the public a chance to help to make their favourites winners.

The entrants with the highest number of LOVEs will be the winner of the People's Choice in each category. Voting takes place on the Qantas SOYA website. Voters simply press the love-heart icons above an entrant's creative works to put them in the running for the sought after award.

Voting will close on Monday 5 November at midnight AEST, one month after the final SOYA category - Animation - closes.
This year SOYA is offering a People's Choice Award in every category they understand that every creative discipline is different and deserving of its own recognition. There will be 11 People's Choice Awards with each winner receiving a $1000 Qantas flight voucher - giving them lift-off to their destination of choice.

Talented Australians aged 30 and under who have entered the programs across the eleven fields - fashion, interactive content and gaming, written word, visual design and communications, film and video, photography, visual arts, craft and object design, music, architecture and interior design and animation - are all in the running for the exciting award.

Celebrating its eighth year, SOYA has been instrumental in unearthing and nurturing young artists, designer, and creatives, helping them expand their horizons, build up their business and learn the ropes from some of the greatest creative minds in the world.

Remarkable SOYA winners to date have included Romance Was Born, Dion Lee, Antipod!um, Friedrich Gray, musicians Wolf & Cub, My Disco, Oh Mercy and Fergus Brown, photographers Penny Lane, James Brickwood and Nirrimi Hakanson, among many others.
