Social media marketing agency We Are Social strengthens with 4 new senior appointments

Claire Riordan (left) will join the team as community manager, David Watson (right) has been appointed to the role of senior developer, Tessa Stocks joins as account director and Jonny Stening has been appointed to senior front-end developer role.

Their appointments take to 28 the number of new employees recruited to We Are Social since the agency opened its doors in Australia in April 2010.

TessaStocks.jpgRiordan has recently returned from the UK where she held positions as an online writer, merchandiser, editor and project manager for brands including OpenTable, Amazon.co.uk and O2. In her most recent role as senior merchandising editor she managed the day-to-day running of leading restaurant booking portal, toptable.co.uk, project managing migration to a new site. At We Are Social she will be focusing primarily on social media content strategy and community management.

Watson has an impressive track record of creating web applications, including working for a leading digital agency on major projects for ACNielsen, HCF, Telstra and the i7 Olympics site. In his last role, a senior developer for Seven Group Holding’s vividwireless, he worked on realtime optimisation and management software which earned the top gong, the J.J.C. Bradfield Award ,at the Australia Engineering Excellence Awards in 2009.

 

Stocks (above) joins We Are Social to lead a number of key client accounts, working with the team on research and insight, to develop and define social strategy for each client and maximise engagement. Stocks was previously a senior account manager at Salmat Digital where she implemented a range of digital solutions and services for high profile media clients, including a number of Australian firsts in social TV.

JonnyStening.jpgStening (left) is responsible for turning web designs into working websites using his technical expertise, liaising between designers and back-end developers. He was recently employed for two years at The Wine Society in Sydney as front-end designer/developer, and has also operated a freelance website design business for a number of years.
