the check-list.jpgSet in the Northern Territory and hosted by Daniel MacPherson, The Checklist will see six contestants travel through diverse landscapes such as Uluru, Kings Canyon, Kakadu and Litchfield National Park, competing in a range of challenges involving crocodiles, buffalo, boomerangs, quad bikes and bush tucker.

The online series will run over 12 weeks from Sunday, September 2, with a six-minute episode uploaded each week.  Viewers will have the opportunity to win their own 'Checklist' experience in the NT by going to the Yahoo!7 website and answering a trivia question based on the series.

The series, an online Australian exclusive, will be promoted across Seven West Media properties including Yahoo!7, Channel Seven, 7Mate and in Pacific Magazine titles including Women's Health, Men's Health, New Idea and Who Weekly.

Virgin Australia will launch a travel deal via their in-flight entertainment, helping to convert viewers of The Checklist into travellers to the NT.  Details of the deal will be available on the Travel NT website.

The series comes as part of an increased focus from Tourism NT on the short break market. The Checklist will help highlight that the NT is easily accessible, and that destinations within it can be explored in three to five days. With great deals on offer such as the current deal from Virgin, the NT is a realistic short break option.

Three teams of two contestants took part in the filming of the series, competing for a $10,000 travel package and $5,000 cash and prizes. The contestants come from across Australia including Adelaide's Barossa Valley, and Sydney's Eastern and Western suburbs.
