Christchurch tourism campaign makes national news as Mayor Bob Parker writes open letter to Australians as part of campaign via iris Sydney
In an extension of the campaign launched last week Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker has penned an open letter to all Australians asking to borrow The Big Pineapple, or another of our big things, in order to get Aussie tourists back to the earthquake ravaged city.
With tourists from all over the world returning to the city, but a distinct lack of Australians, Mayor Parker is willing to go to great lengths to get us back it would seem.
His plea has been picked up by media nationally, including on Seven Nightly News.
