Digital Post Australia appoints Airborne to handle marketing communications before brand roll out

scott player.jpgDigital Post Australia, the soon-to-launch first digital postal service in Australia, has appointed Airborne, Mediabrands' creative agency, to handle all marketing communications as the new brand prepares to roll out its public launch later this year.

Airborne won the assignment in competition against some of Australia's top full-service creative and direct/digital agencies. Airborne will lead all elements of Digital Post Australia's brand development including strategy, creative, production, channel planning for both online and offline media as well as trade communications. Airborne's work will be supported by other broader Mediabrands skill sets including search and social media, performance digital, activation and content production.
Digital Post Australia will be the first digital postal service provider in Australia, pioneering the evolution of mail delivery. Each Australian consumer will have access to their own Digital Postbox which will provide simple, convenient online access to business communications including bills and statements, financial and health care documents and government mail.

Says Randy Dean, CEO of Digital Post Australia: "Airborne presented highly creative and insightful recommendations that were beyond our brief to the agencies. Their collaboration with multiple Mediabrands skill sets and their ideas on customer acquisition and retention were first class and will give us an edge in attracting consumers.  We are excited to be working with such a talented and resource-rich organisation."

Says Scott Player (above, left) managing director of Airborne: "The agency's presentations to Digital Post Australia demonstrated how relevant and powerful creative ideas can reach and engage consumers using a variety of media channels. We are excited to showcase how our performance-focused creative and broad service model is unique in this market and can deliver strong results.

"We look forward to assisting Digital Post Australia launch this exciting new brand while doing something valuable and game-changing for Australian businesses and consumers."

Oh I didn't think forward thinking progressive agencies used full-page flash-turning magazine layouts for their own site. Welcome back to 2005 kids.
