FSM appoints ex Fuel VFX head of production Dave Kelly to executive producer role
Independently owned post production company, FSM, has appointed Dave Kelly (left) to the position of executive producer.Says Rick Schweikert, FSM managing director: "Dave is highly regarded as a talented, experienced and popular producer, so we're thrilled to announce he's joined FSM in this expanded role of EP.
"Kelly will be working on a range of new productions, as well as developing future plans with senior management, including Dean Sutherland our business development manager. This is a well considered, strategic appointment that has been in FSM's sights for some time."
Says Emile Rademeyer, FSM creative director: "Dave joins FSM from the
well respected Fuel VFX where he was head of production. Prior to that,
he was general manager at mesh22, and senior producer at GMD. It's that
level of experience, especially in VFX and production leadership that
really appeals to us."
Says Kelly: "I've admired FSM's work for a long time. Rick and Steve have built a terrific company, respected on many levels as one of the few remaining independent post companies, so I'm really happy to be joining them in this senior capacity. I'm looking forward to working on some fantastic projects and expanding the untapped talent I can already see."
Kelly's appointment is effective immediately.
