IMG_1402.jpgOn the back of sustained business growth in 2012, GPY&R Brisbane has hired ex Clemenger Brisbane creative director and DDB Melbourne group creative director, Jim McKeown.

McKeown’s role will involve working on clients across the Y&R Group, including Ideaworks and GPY&R.

Says Phil McDonald, Group MD: “We have had a great year, with some very good revenue and staff growth and our retail team under the banner of IdeaWorks has taken off very well. Jim coming on board will give us the extra creative leadership we need, to keep the growth going across our group.”

After picking up the national Tatts Lotteries business at the end of 2011 the agency group has won several new clients this year including Energex, Lenard’s Chicken and multiple projects for APN Media, CCIQ, Robin’s Kitchen, Michael Hill and Savills.

Says Piet Human, executive creative director at GPY&R Brisbane: “We’re delighted to welcome Jim to the group. Not only is he an internationally recognised creative leader, but also a great collaborator who believes in building true partnerships with clients.”

Says McKeown: “After a stint freelancing with these guys, it was easy to see why the agency is dominating the Brisbane market at the moment. I’m really excited about making a contribution to the agency’s continued success.”
