Former BMF Sydney planning director Emily Taylor makes switch to Publicis Mojo, Sydney

EmTaylorPhoto.jpgFormer BMF planning director Emily Taylor has taken the planning director role at Publicis Mojo, Sydney, effective November 12.

Taylor was at BMF for the past two and a half years and has also worked at VCCP London and AKQA London.

Taylor has won multiple effectiveness awards, including an ADMA for her work with Expedia and the successful 'New York on $50' campaign. At VCCP she was the planner behind the successful launch very.co.uk, a new online department store, and at AKQA, the launch of Xbox 360 with the most highly effective digital campaign for Xbox at the time.

Says Joe Pollard, CEO of Publicis Mojo Australia: "We are delighted that Emily is joining the team at Publicis Mojo Sydney. Emily has extensive experience in the planning area having worked in both Sydney and London. Her experience in the digital space at agencies like AKQA will be a great asset to the agency."

Says Taylor: "I'm really excited about joining Publicis Mojo. I was hugely impressed with the team's vision for the agency and look forward to playing my part as it grows from strength to strength."

Em's a talent. The only surprise here is it took her soon long to realise that the horse has well and truly bolted, met a pretty young mare, and had foals. Best of luck Em, great move. How many more warning signs does BMF need?

BMF sheds more people, including a planning director. Shrinks back to just the top floor, but management insists the two agency model is the way to go. Pretty soon, it'll just be him and one other guy in one agency each. How much longer can this madness persist?

Just look at the work BMF is producing these days, it's truly shocking.

I get that agencies go though peaks and troughs, and BMF is clearly in the latter. What I don't get is this insistence by some to continually put the boot in. Why such hatred people?

Didn't know the Duchess of Cambridge was also a planner.

Disgruntled ex-BMFs who were dropped I reckon. Which kind of happens when agencies lose big accounts. It's not just BMF, it's the world over. Slagging off the people still there and the work they're producing just makes you look worse.

Well done Mojo, Emily is a top hire. No further proof needed, Emily's are awesome.

They've approached a lot of people to work there, yet no recruiters seem to be on their radar. I'd say something's afoot internally.
