The ACCC launches 'The Marker' - branded content film about illegal business cartel behaviour via Melbourne's Burning House

Themarker.jpgBurning House, a Melbourne based production company, collaborated with The ACCC to make 'The Maker', a branded content film educating people about illegal business cartel behaviour.

The ACCC was looking to push the boundaries with their corporate communications and felt that a film would be the perfect vehicle for engaging their target market.

Burning House has for a long time believed that the future of branded content lies in the power of interesting and compelling storytelling. The ACCC brief enabled Burning House to create a fully realised 15 minute short film and trailer that pushes the boundary of what has previously considered corporate communication.

Following the launch of the Marker, there has been some interesting conversation around quality branded content on social media and blogs. Many people are immensely impressed with the film's quality and effectiveness in delivering a government's message in an interesting way.

Burning House believes The Marker is the future of corporate communications.

That was actually really good. I hope we see more of these kinds of "branded content" type films, although I guess they require an audience with a little more patience when compared to regular advertising. But yeah, good script, good performances, good editing and good production values - more please.
