Conceived as a complete strategy service, ARCHIBALD / WILLIAMS’ proposition highlights the coming together of two planning archetypes (brand and digital/direct/data) to form a core business model best described as a Strategic Compound’.

To ensure outstanding creative and execution regardless of channel, A / W has formed a handpicked ‘Creative Collective’ based within the agency in Sydney, and around the globe where the agency will tap into their extensive digital creative network in London and New York.

Archibald left his global position with archibald ingall stretton in November 2011. Archibald who along with Jon Ingall and Steve Stretton built archibald ingall stretton in London into an award winning creative agency then took over responsibilities for the ais global expansion into Spain, India and New York. Whilst in New York he teamed up with Williams and won a broad range of advertising, digital and direct work from The Economist, AXA Equitable, PUIG and a number of new product launches. It was this experience that led to Archibald and Williams developing the idea behind A / W after they left archibald ingall stretton.

Prior to heading to New York, Bram had a long history as planning lead in a number of agencies – latterly as head of strategy, Saatchi & Saatchi, Australia.

Says Archibald: “I have always wanted to set up in Sydney and now is the time to do that. Our model seems to be getting good traction with clients because of its strategic nature and our backgrounds, so we are looking forward to what lies ahead.

The agency is launching with four clients, News Ltd, Sportingbet, Syngenta and the charity White Ribbon (Australia’s campaign to stop violence against women).
