Digital Chameleon and S2M partnership secures digital position at Fairfax for course participant

logo-thumb-400x68-82607.jpgThe recently announced partnership between Sydney-based digital learning company Digital Chameleon and recruitment speciliast S2M offering selected job candidates access to Digital Chameleon's online digital skills course for media and marketing professionals, has secured a new career for one candidate and 20 others are in line to follow.
One of the first graduates of the course is Michael Wilkins who has recently secured a position at Fairfax Media.

Says Michelle Bodalia from Fairfax Regional Digital Media: "The digital course was key to appointing Michael as without the knowledge he had gained from the course, his skill set would have been limited to his minimal industry experience. Being in the media industry, digital is a very large part of the business. As a digitally focused department, we cannot employ people without digital skills and knowledge."

The Digital Chameleon-S2M Digital Learning Program has been helping S2M clients bridge their knowledge gaps as they look to transition into career opportunities requiring digital education around online advertising, search, social media and mobile. The program also helps prepare candidates for S2M corporate clients seeking digitally skilled talent. S2M invited selected job candidates to participate in this program at no cost to either the candidate or the employer.

Says Kerry Allen, senior talent broker at S2M: "Michael came with work experience, knowledge and a passion for digital, however no demonstrable qualifications in support of this.  Michael committed himself to completing the Digital Chameleon course in a week and following his success in gaining this qualification I was able to present Michael to clients with an edge over other prospective candidates."

Says Matthew Bates, commercial director, Digital Chameleon: "Communicating confidently is the key to success. Successful digital marketing and media isn't just based on good ideas, it's also based on knowledge and practical experience."
