soya.jpgQantas has announced that all categories are now open for the 2013 Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards (SOYA365). SOYA365 celebrated amazing winners across all 11 creative fields in 2012 uncovering countless incredibly talented young Australians. SOYA365 is now renowned as the first point of call for young creatives hoping to jump start their careers in the creative industries.

Once again, SOYA365 winners in 2013 will be able to let their inspiration guide their travels thanks to $5000 worth of Qantas air travel taking winners wherever their imagination desires. And of course at the very heart of SOYA are the mentors – industry leaders offering money-can’t-buy advice, insights and experiences for winners. Each category has its own mentor and a 12 month mentorship is integral to the award package. A further $5,000 in cash will give to winners in each category as an added boost – a chance to choose your own adventures and help propel their creative careers.

The first cab off the rank is the photography category with entries closing 5 February, with closing dates and winner announcements rolling throughout the year. Keep an eye out for hotspots in July and October; months in which there are two category deadlines. Film & Video and Animation in July and Architecture & Interior Design and Craft & Object Design in October. Every other month has a single deadline.

Each year SOYA365 introduces industry icons to new talent from across the country, connecting finalists and winners with global creative networks, generously sharing their time and years of experience.
