Leo Burnett's Chris Moreira, Mark Scholler and Patrick Fileti make shortlist for Flickerfest 2013 International Short Film Festival for movie 'May'

May Pic - ChrisMarkPatrick - Leo Burnett Sydney.jpgMay, a short film by three Leo Burnetters, has been accepted into the 2013 Flickerfest International Short Film Festival. The Leo's three, comprising of Chris Moreira (left), Mark Schöller (middle) and Patrick Fileti (right), describe the film as a 'slow burner' that took shape over months, before shooting earlier this year.

Check flickerfest.com.au for touring dates.
Says Moreira: "Our morning latte club would be consistently consumed by 'How about this...?' questions."

Says Fileti: "Having worked together on numerous agency projects, we knew for a while we wanted to do a short. We just hadn't stumbled across the right idea."

The creative duo had previously worked with Fileti on creating social content for a number of Leo's clients, as well as music video projects. Their short film 'May' is about a lady in the later years of her life who discovers that it's never too late to find happiness - and yourself.

Says Schöller: "Even though you might be a lot closer to the end than the beginning."

The boys have recently returned from New York, where 'May' officially premiered at the New York City Indie Film Festival.

Says the trio: "We received a very positive reaction from the Yanks, but it'll be interesting to see what the people at home think about the ol' lady."

May has also been selected for Flickerfest's national 'Best Of Australian Shorts' Tour.
