Thomas Dux’s Pinterest-ing Christmas Grocer launch foodie Advent Calendar via The Works

Thomas Dux Pinterest image.jpgSpecialty grocer Thomas Dux has started the countdown to Christmas with a food inspired Advent Calendar using social media platform Pinterest, created by The Works, Sydney.

Each day in the run up to Christmas The Dux Advent Calendar will reveal sumptuous recipes, gift ideas, details of in-store tastings, handy reminders and special festive tips behind each window.

In addition, for those that re-pin and make comments on selected posts, there is a chance to win 1 of 5 $50 WISH Gift cards.

The campaign is the first major work for the specialist food grocer by independent agency The Works since its appointment to the business in October.

Says Janine Keeffe, head of Thomas Dux: “With the countdown to Christmas well and truly on we wanted to take the stress out of it with some practical ideas, recipes and more to make the festive season one to remember.

“We use Pinterest extensively to showcase our products but this is the first time we have used it to mount an ongoing campaign. It’s the perfect social media platform for this and we hope that consumers take advantage of it.”

The Advent Calendar is being promoted through Thomas Dux’s Facebook pages and Twitter, as well as online advertising on selected News Limited and Fairfax websites.
