Leo Burnett Melbourne leads Aussie pack with four 1st places + one 2nd at the Mobius Awards

BYO CUP.jpgLeo Burnett Melbourne led the Australian advertising firms that won a total of 11 awards in the 2012 International Mobius Awards competition.

Leo Burnett Melbourne won four First Places, two for "BYO Cup Day" for 7-Eleven in the Branded Content/Entertainment and New Media-Social Media categories, and a third First Place for "BYO Cup Day Integrated Case Study" in Integrated Campaigns. The agency also received a First Place for "Box of Curiosities" in Direct-Physical Mail for The Famous Spiegeltent and a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity for "Everyday Rider Sponsorships" for Giant in Direct-Other.

Winning Second Place Certificates were Ogilvy, Melbourne, for "BMW Welcome" and "Fuelling Imagination," both in Direct-Physical Mail; seeingIsBelieving_TV.jpgShowpony Advertising, Adelaide, South Australia, for "Sea and Vines" in Print-Poster; and, Host, Surry Hills, New South Wales, for "The Kiwi Sceptics" in Branded Content/Entertainment.

Leo Burnett Melbourne's "BYO Cup Day" has been nominated three times at the shortlist stage for Best of Show in Branded Content, Integrated Campaign and New Media categories. Other Australian nominees include FSM for Animals Australia in the Cinema/In-flight category and Alt.vfx for its "Seeing is Believing" campaign in the TV category.

The overall competition granted 36 First Place Mobius Award Golden Statuettes, 41 Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity, and five Student Certificates. This 42nd annual competition drew entries from 24 countries.
