OMD Sydney announces new strategy group head with the appointment of Barry Mowszowski

Barry Mowszowski.jpgOMD today announces the appointment of Barry Mowszowski to the position of strategy group head, one of two within OMD Sydney. He will lead strategy for a broad group of the agency's Sydney clients, and play a key role in the strategic leadership of the agency. Mowszowski will report directly to Alistair Henderson, national strategy head for OMD Australia.

A multi award winning strategist with a string of Cannes and Effie awards under his belt; Mowszowski brings a wealth of creative experience from boutique agencies across the UK, USA and Australia.

Noted for having worked alongside David Droga and the team at Droga5 New York; who were subsequently awarded Creativity Magazine's US Agency of the Year in 2007, Mowszowski joins OMD most recently from Starcom Mediavest Sydney where he was creative strategy director and a member of the Australian Creative Excellence team at Starcom Australia. He joins OMD having developed communications strategies for some of the world's leading brands including Coca Cola, Nike, Nestle, Diageo, Microsoft, Canon, MTV, American Express and the Suncorp Banking & Insurance portfolio among others.
Says Henderson: "Barry brings fantastic experience to OMD and extends the diversity of OMD's strategy offering. His creative background bolsters our ability to plan brand solutions and lead communications thinking across brand and messaging in particular. As we get deeper into content and consumer engagement planning for clients, his experience and approach will be invaluable."
