Smith & Western Sound moves to Surry Hills

S&W.jpgSmith & Western Sound has hitched up their wagons and moved to its new ranch at 747 Bourke Street in Surry Hills, Sydney.

Ant Smith (right), Nick West (left) and Dan Higson (middle) (who formed a posse to become Smith & Western in 2011) have tied up their horses at a heritage-listed free standing house in the vibrant hub of Surry Hills/Redfern.

Says Dan Higson, S&W's EP: "Our new place is awesome. We're surrounded by agencies and production companies, we can smell the bread baking from the Bourke Street Bakery and Zoe's Cafe is across the road. On one side our neighbour is the super-chilled Sydney Taoist Centre and on the other is The Clevo... which is dangerous."

In the past few months the sound guns from Smith & Western have been busy working on the music for a massive new Australia-wide campaign for the rollout of the National Broadband Network, great new spots for VW and Lipton Ice Tea and a highly acclaimed 30-sec TVC for Wrigley's Chewy Mints.
