Airborne managing director Scott Player said accelerating growth from new clients such as LEGO, Georg Jensen and Digital Post Australia, as well as expanding briefs from longer-term clients had dictated the hiring of new top-class account service talent.

Preston joins the agency as group account director. He is formerly business director with Cheil in London where he worked principally on Samsung’s partnership with the 2012 Olympic Games and also on the development of Samsung’s business to business communications platforms. Prior to Cheil, Preston held a number of business roles within Draftfcb locally and internationally.

Simpson also joins Airborne as an account director, having previously worked at Publicis Mojo for clients including Virgin Mobile and Toyota. She has also worked at McCann Erickson in the UK, The Marketing Store and Lowey across FMCG and consumer brands such as Cathay Pacific, Unilever and Coca-Cola.

Says Player: “Airborne is set for strong growth in 2013. Harry and Naomi represent the type of high-quality talent Airborne is attracting to help manage current growth as well as focus on new opportunities as the year progresses.”
